Amazon Spring Break

Our guide caught this! I had to yell at him to stop when he was trying to get a bigger one!
I had no idea my bait kept disappearing because I was fishing for paranhas
I loved our cabaña! It took a few night though before I was able to sleep comfortably. The first night I woke my friend up screaming there was a snake above my bed. Of coarse it was my over active brain!
Sure enough, we got to see an anaconda... good thing it was not alive. I might have had more nightmares!

I spent one week in the Amazon Rain forest, of Brazil for Semana Santa, Spring Break. It was an amazing trip to see so many animals and see the forest. I saw pink dolphines, huge tarantulas and caymans . Our guide was awesome and caught the piranhas, tarantula and caymans for us out in the wild! I was even attacked by a massive lizard one night! The jungle seriously sounds like those CD's they sell of jungle noises, it was difficult to fall asleep. We stayed in this cute little cabin that had screens for all of the walls. The bathroom only had three walls, the back wall was completely open to the jungle, luckily I went during rainy season so the mosquitoes were not too bad. I was so glad I took this trip and I definitely recommend it!
