Salento - Thanksgiving with the family

This is a coffe field at the Coffee Park, normally this is not what it looks like. Banana trees are planted around the beans to offer more shade. Also, Colombian coffee is the best because each bean is hand picked and hand selected.
A day at the Coffe Park
The next Juan Valdez

The tallest palm trees in the world

A small little friend we found

It looks just like Thanksgiving.

We took a little walk around the school's campus.
A student's home, and it is perfect for sleep overs!

Cali Zoo - The best in South America

The zoo in Cali is the best in South America. It was incredible to be able to get closer to the animals than you are allowed to in the states!! We had a great time at the zoo.

Colombia has over 3,800 different species of butterflies. At the zoo was this incredible screened in building where we walked among hundreds of butterflies.

Colorado Summer

Second year Apartment

I enjoy our apartment this year. It is on the fourth and fifth floors and we have plenty of room to share! The closets are great and I even have a bike room! It gets great fresh air and has large windows. The best thing is we pay $460 a month and that means between three girls it is only $150 each!

Colombia's Coast -Tayrona

Tayrona National Park, Colombia

Laurel my college roomate joined me on the coast for 2 weeks before the school year started. We ended up making great friends to share with for the week.

There is nobody else on the beach, why not!
I have seen a lot of beaches in Thailand, Indonesia, Costa Rica and more, but this is way up on the list of best beaches I have seen. They are reserved, no buildings and no people!
How will I ever want to go to another beach, clearly Colombia has the best!
My hotel room was very nice and cheap too since I brought my own hammock! We could have stayed at the "hotel" below but it was 2 dollars more expensive than our 4 dollar nights!
